6 Ways To Bring A Sense of Balance & Peace To Your Home

Our homes are our sanctuary. It is the one place we can come to lay our burdens, guards, and hair down. But unfortunately, not everyone has the luxury of living in a space that is completely their own or peaceful enough for them to even get a wink of sleep.

If this is you, read on to see how you can bring a sense of balance and peace to your space or home:

  1. Clean + Organize

First thing’s first, having a clean environment is imperative for not only balance but a sense of having control over your life. Organization is just as important because decluttering can actually clear your mind so you can think soundly and even breathe with ease.

  2. Set Rules + Standards

No one likes rules, but certain rules are needed to set a pace of standard and even embark on a routine not only for you but your guests as well. If you want to keep a clean carpet, guests have to take their shoes off at the door. If you want to keep a clean kitchen, dishes have to be done every night. Something so little as setting rules like these will bring a world of difference to your home.

3. Incorporate Things You Love To Do

If your space is large enough, make that corner into a small meditation nook with your favorite crystals – like this Spirit Daughter Taurus Crystal Kit – or use the window seal to grow your small garden if you don’t have a yard. Make the initiative to decorate your home full of the things you love and love to do so you’re always reminded of happiness.

Here’s some of my new favorites!

From June 28th thru July 5th Spirit Daughter will be offering 20% off crystals!

4. Display What + Who You Love

Love paintings of black love? Scriptures? Place and display them on your walls and bookshelves so they are a constant reminder of joy and delight. Love your mother to death? Put her by your bedside on a nightstand so she feels closer to you. Constant reminders of a time where you were at peace or had balance are what’s important and needed day-in and day-out.

5. Colors Mean Things

Take a look around. Do you have a lot of deep and dark colors around you? Subconsciously, you may not even notice that the colors you gravitate to is somewhat of a mirror of how you’re feeling on the inside. Need a pick me up? Paint your room or home in a white or bright color. The endorphins from the color change will not only lighten the room but your mood too.

6. Scent Is Important

This is often overlooked as well. We tend to want to go straight to commercial air fresheners and perfumes but have you ever thought about eliminating the smell first before you cover it up? Smells come from mildew, outdated infrastructure, garbage, and residue. Try to find the source and fix it. If this is harder than you think you can take on, try bringing a living plant into your space or home. The oxygen from the plant will neutralize and naturally clean the air to help you breathe better.
